The Batman production halted, Robert Pattinson tests COVID-19 positive

The production for the highly anticipated “The Batman” has halted after Robert Pattinson has tested positive for COVID-19 just days after filming resumed in London after months on hiatus.

Warner Bros. released a statement on Thursday confirming that the production of the The Batman was suspended after  “a member of ‘The Batman’ production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.”

The production company did not comment further about the statement or reveal any name. However, Vanity Fair was the first to report the news and confirm that the member who contracted COVID-19 was Robert Pattinson himself.

Previously, the production for The Batman was halted in March when the coronavirus pandemic broke out through parts of Europe. At the time, the studio said that filming would shut down for just two weeks but ended up being months until filming resumed just a few days ago.

Hollywood has been greatly impacted from the coronavirus pandemic with studios suffering billion in losses as the coronavirus has kept big movie studios from restarting production in California due to the high infection rates.
